It is scientifically acknowledged that women and men have different sleep temperatures. This can be determined by many different factors, such as weight, hormone status, levels of fitness, age etc, but many of us are only too aware of the differences when we climb into bed at night. It is more often than not that the woman in the partnership will want to be swathed in layers of duvets / and or blankets and the man seems quite happy under the thinnest of covering all night long, but as the night progresses, these coverings are apt to stray off / onto the opposing side!
We have had so many telephone conversations with our customers that could all have been made by one person, that we have created the 'His and Hers' Comfort Duvet. Available in King and Superking, these duvets are half 350 gsm and half 500 gsm, as we have found that most men are as happy as lambs under the 350 gsm all year round, and the 500 gsm is warmer and more snuggly for women who need that ' little extra', and again, with the regulating properties of wool, can also be used all year round ( except if the weather is extremely warm)
We have trialled this system and it seems to be a great hit. We hope this will lead to quieter life and a sounder and calm sleep for you both.
Is this better than organic? We love Organic and, although it doesn't contain organic wool, you will be pleased to know that the pure new wool in this duvet has been tested and passed by the highly respected Swiss certification authority Oeko-tex as being "free from any harmful substances" to the rigorous "OEKO-TEX® Standard 100". Not a lot of other natural products have this certificate!
Enveloped in our immensely popular soft and silent high threadcount cotton, which covers the whole range of our luxury wool duvets, this duvet is also machine washable and tumble dryable.
