Extremely soft and amazingly durable, they are made in the UK with the finest mohair available. The mohair in these socks is not the same as the mohair found in other brands of mohair socks, it is simply the finest anywhere in the world. The very first 'clip' of the young Angora Goat is the very finest, and consequently the softest ( and by far the most expensive) mohair. More cashmere is produced worldwide than mohair, and the best quality is almost as fine and as almost as expensive to buy. It is one of the oldest textile fibers in use and is known as the 'diamond fibre' due to its durability and resilience. It is notable for its high luster and sheen and being a hollow fibre takes dye exceptionally well, giving a brilliance to the colour not seen in other fibres. Mohair is also warm as it has great insulating properties. It is considered to be a luxury fiber, like cashmere, angora and silk, and is usually more expensive than most wool that comes from sheep.
