The Classic WashSafe

This product is invaluable, as I have been able to wash precious cashmere and mohair garments absolutely safely. I am just about to order a larger size for a chunky sweater I would never before have dared to wash in a machine. (Posted on 14/05/2010)

I used to hesitate before buying a nice sweater as I knew it will lead to hand-washing, which I hate. I've tried my new Wash Safe on a small scale - brilliant results. Will be investing in a couple more so I can go to town on the whole woolly wardrobe.

I won one of these in a church raffle. I use it all the time, either for delicates like cashmere sweater or silk items or for whites in a coloureds wash or for yellow dusters.
I think they answer an important green issue and reduce the number of washes. (I do 99.9% of my laundry at 30degrees now and things still wash fine in the bag.

The washbag is absolutely fantastic, and perfect for all those few items that are always the wrong colour for the wash about to go on. The clothes come out from it beautifully white, or they have not affected the rest of the wash if dark.

First time I used it I put in a whole load of light coloured or white bathmat type things in the machine and I put a brand new navy blue bathmat in the 'washsafe'.

It worked really well and i now use it almost every day and I usually put the coloureds in the washsafe and the whites loose in the machine. I do all my washes at 40 degrees.
It saves masses of time and i can mix my washes.

Dear Wool Company,
I have four of your washbags of varying sizes. Yesterday I used them
all together in one load in the machine at 30 degrees. The load
consisted of: -
1. Biggest bag: Man's dark brown thick knitted wool sweater.
2. Middle size bag: Pale grey cashmere sweater.
3. Smaller bag: White silk petticoat.
4. Very small bag: Bright red cotton handkerchiefs.
Loose in the machine: Various other items of underwear etc., mostly
white.
It would have been quite impossible to have washed many of these
items in the machine without the washbags - let alone wash them all
together!
All of the wash came out beautifully clean and in perfect condition.
I am really thrilled with these "Washsafes" . They save so much
time, effort, and energy - both mine and the electricity.
