Merino Wool Mattress Topper

I've been saving up for this mattress topper for a year and it hasn't disappointed! The wool is so thick and soft. We like a firm mattress, but it's difficult to find an affordable firm one that isn't hard. This is an amazing compromise, so although it's pretty pricey, if you compare this solution to a top of the range mattress it's actually very reasonable. Delivery happened to the hour stated on the courier's website.
Package arrived safe and sound, well packed and presented, in a zipped carrybag, but not overly packaged.
The merino wool mattress topper itself is beautifully made and the smell of the wool makes me feel homesick for the South Downs on a hot afternoon.
The Wool pile side is luxurious and the cool side looks comfortable.
Am a lady at the time of life when my physical thermostat has gone haywire and uncontrollable, but I wasn't as hot at night as I feared I might be - it was very comfortable. Also, being quite light (7.5 stone) and slightly arthritic, this mattress topper seems to provide the softness and pressure relief that my mattress wasn't giving me. Can't wait for summer to try the cool side!
To wash it (size is double), I'd need to use an industrial machine in a launderette as don't think my domestic washer could cope with it - the washability factor was one reason why I chose this item - but that's not a criticism, just an observation.

My Grandad always said to have the same volume of bedding below as above to stay properly warm. This gorgeous mattress topper does the trick. It is backed with sateen cotton ( turn topper with this upwards for the summer) which rustles in a most satisfying way. Value for money through and through, especially as it magically can be washed and tumble dried!!!!!! And Yes it is wool...soft, gentle merino wool. What a treat! And to top it all (haha) the delivery company even emailed me first thing to give me the hour of delivery. Buy one and I promise you will feel totally pampered. (Posted on 09/01/2012)

The photo does not do this item justice! I am very happy with it it arrived within the 1 hour window allocated thanks to the excellent courier company used and the product looks and feels fab, if you are all uncertain ignore the picture as the items is actually much thicker and luxurious than the picture looks (I had been intending to buy a similar product for much more and I am so glad I purchased this). My order was for blankets and a woollen under-blanket for my husband who is cold all the time. A duvet and blankets just didn't do the job, but at last he is now warm and has a comfortable nights sleep.

The quality is superb and the delivery spot on - arrived when I was told they would.

Yet again you have excelled in your ordering and delivery service, very fast, but the product can only be described as excellent. The mattress topper combined with the wool duvet, which we bought from you last year, makes for a very warm, cosy and comfortable bedtime experience.
