Slightly firmer than i'd hoped, but maintains it's resilience so it's not too hard and still cushions your contours. A good height for front and back sleepers, and because it's reasonably firm, not too bad for side sleepers, either. I've marked it down for value, as I've had to make pillow cases to fit it, as it's larger than every other pillow in the house. (I like the extra size, and I am sleeping better, but it was an inconvenience).
The pretreatment of the cotton covers really smells, but a day on the washing line airing in the fierce west wind we have here soon sorted that.

The pillow is just the right thickness when used with my other other pillow as I find one pillow to low and two pillows too high. I have slept really well since using it. It is very comfortable (not to hard and not too soft) and it keeps its shape perfectly. I have also tried silk pillows but find wool better. Delivery was really convenient and I was given a short time slot so I didn't have to wait in all day. (Posted on 06/05/2010)
