Duchess Merino Blanket

I ordered this blanket eighteen months ago (Carmine Red - Kingsize Duchess Merino Wool) and have been using it almost constantly since.

Although it was expensive, it is a fabulous blanket and I imagine will last me many more years than a down duvet. The blanket is very generously sized - I have a deep mattress, and this blanket never becomes untucked overnight. I've washed it in my machine a few times - because of its size, it's heavy to manoevre, but it does wash well.

My partner loves it so much, he now refuses to sleep under duvets, despite me purchasing him your (excellent) wool duvets. So, I'm now ordering a second one, and I hope CHERRY is the same colour as CARMINE RED ( Wool Company says - "it is").

This Cherry Duchess Merino Blanket is a beautiful colour and adds wonderfully positivity to the bedroom,it was nice to sleep in cool conditions in bed with all drafts cut out.I am please I purchased and would simply recommend that someones partner wishing to be hotter builds up their side with layers. The blankets are super: very high quality, beautifully finished and a lovely colour. We have a very cold bedroom but even in the extremes of the past winter a duvet with the Duchess blanket on top meant we were cosy and warm. Fantastic! (Posted on 29/05/2010)

This is without doubt the best blanket we have ever had. It's a good size to tuck in round our extra deep mattress, very soft and fine quality wool and I like the way the satin binding goes round all the edges, not just the top and bottom. Only difficulty is persuading our cat that she isn't allowed to live on our bed, since she thinks we got the blanket for her! (Posted on 07/05/2010)
