OUR PROMISE TO YOU
We endeavour to display through this website all items in our current range. We aim to hold stock of all styles and sizes whilst a product is active. However, please remember we are a small company and occasionally an item will be out of stock. If this is the case this will be highlighted in your shopping basket. The stock status for your order will also be notified to you on your order confirmation.

All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change and we can accept no liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) for delivery at any time other than the estimated date for delivery.HOW QUICKLY WILL YOU RECEIVE YOUR ORDER?
All weekday orders received before Noon will, subject to availability, be dispatched on the same day. All orders received after Noon will, subject to availability, be dispatched on the following business day. If your order is really urgent please telephone us on 01208 821 113.

PLEASE NOTE that higher value/weight items will be sent by our courier for a next day delivery. This must be signed for at the point of delivery. This means that under normal circumstances if you order in the morning for a destination on the UK mainland and IF THE ITEM IS IN STOCK you will receive your order the following business day, except that remoter parts of Scotland may be subject to a 2 day delivery from our courier. (Most items are almost always in stock.)

BUT our courier does not normally deliver on Saturdays. If you require a Saturday delivery please telephone us on 01208 821 113. There is a small premium for this service. Our courier does not deliver on Sundays or Public Holidays.

If the item is not in stock or not expected to be in stock within the next 5 business days we will email you and advise you when the item is due in. If this is not satisfactory we will immediately refund your card. This means that if you don't hear from us (apart from receiving a confirmation that we've processed your order) you will receive it within a week.

PLACING AN ORDER
By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you are unhappy with any aspect of these, then you should contact us at enquiries@thewoolcompany.co.uk before placing an order with us.

English Law governs these Terms and Conditions and your use of our website and in using it you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English court. This does not affect your non-excludable statutory rights.

The website and our Terms and Conditions have been designed for use under UK law and within the United Kingdom. Whilst we are happy to consider requests for products and enquiries from outside the United Kingdom, we can give no warranty, express or implied, that the use of this website or the placing of any order through this website from outside the UK complies with any applicable non-UK laws or regulations. Consequently any products or promotions not permitted under law applicable to your location outside the UK are not offered to you.

A Contract between The Wool Company and the customer for the sale of our products will only exist once we have accepted an order and it has been processed and dispatched (at which point the buyer's Credit or Debit card will be charged for the value of the goods dispatched). This does not affect the customer's statutory rights.

YOUR RIGHTS TO CANCEL
You may normally cancel your order (once accepted by us) for any reason up to the point of dispatch. If you do cancel the contract within this time any payments made by you will be refunded in full within 30 days.

OUR RETURNS POLICY
If you are not entirely happy with the products that you have chosen, then you may return them to us within 4 weeks of receipt. We will be pleased to offer you an exchange or, at our discretion, a refund, provided the products are returned complete, in perfect condition, unused, and with the original packaging. Items like throws, blankets and duvets may be removed fom their packaging but should not have been unfolded.

Please take care to read our Wool Care Advisory page or our Care Advisory enclosed with your order as we cannot accept items for a refund or exchange if they have been damaged in the wash.

RETURNS
For all returns, except where the item is faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to us. If you prefer, we will arrange to collect the products from you, but the cost of this will be charged to you and may be deducted from any refund to you. To return any products to us, please:

When returning items you are strongly recommended to obtain proof of posting. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. We will only refund or provide an exchange for the costs of postage where the goods are faulty.

SECURE PAYMENT and TAX
We use SECPay as our Card Payment Processor for credit, debit and charge cards over the Internet. The Payment page is fully encrypted and we do not keep your card details. Whether making payments online, by telephone or by mail order, you can be confident in the knowledge that SECPay offers the latest security however if your Credit or Debit Card is used fraudulently as a direct result of being used to buy from our site, then we will assume liability for the first £50 of your loss. Your card company is already obligated to take responsibility for the remainder. We will use all reasonable endeavours to help your credit card company and consequently minimise any problems for you.

We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, Maestro, Visa Electron, Switch and Solo. All transactions are shown in Pounds Sterling (£). We also accept The Wool Company Gift Vouchers.

All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication and are shown and quoted in Pounds Sterling (£) and where appropriate are inclusive of the UK sales tax, VAT, at the applicable rate. If your order is being sent to a destination outside the European Community (EC) then the sales tax will be zero. If your order is being sent to a member state of the EC then the selling price will include VAT at the current rate. The current rate of VAT is 17.5%. Any import or customs duties levied when the goods reach the destination country (or indeed any transit duties) will be your responsibility as we have no control over or knowledge of these charges.

None of the above terms or conditions affect your statutory rights. 

UK DELIVERY
Availability permitting, all orders are usually despatched within 24 hours, to arrive with UK customers within five working days. In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of the delay and despatch it as soon as it arrives.

You may choose alternative options for delivery some of which are shown in the table below. Options for particular items or combinations of items are shown on the checkout page (which you will see before payment).

We use the Royal Mail for posting lighter weight items and offer various options; First Class Post, Special Delivery Next Day or Recorded Delivery (which will need to be signed for) for UK destinations.

For larger items like blankets and quilts or duvets etc (or indeed for orders of a number of smaller items) we use a high quality courier service which delivers to virtually all destinations within the UK the day after they collect from us. Items sent by courier must be signed for on delivery at their destination, so please ensure someone is available to do this. Delivery is by 3pm for most of the UK, but offshore and the more remote parts of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland will take an extra 24 hours.

Please note that prices for multiple and combination orders will vary. e.g if you order one throw you may have the option to use Royal Mail First Class at a cost of £4.55 but if you order more than one, that option may not be available and you would need to use "Royal Mail Recorded" delivery or the courier "Next Day". You can see what the exact cost of the postage will be for your particular order at the checkout page before you confirm and pay for it.

CONFORMITY OF GOODS
We take every care to ensure that the specification and description of our products are correct at the time of publication. However, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour or colours caused by the browser software or computer system used by you.

DISCLAIMER & LIMITATIONS AS TO LIABILITY
The Wool Company does not seek to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence or that of its members agents partners or employees or for any fraudulent misrepresentation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law and save as provided above, neither The Wool Company nor any associated company shall be liable to you by reason of any representation, or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence (whether on the part of The Wool Company or any of its members, agents, partners, employees or otherwise) for any indirect special or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the use of this website, the supply of the products or their use or resale by you.

No person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Nothing in these conditions is intended nor shall affect any of your statutory rights that may not be legally excluded
