Our Pure New Wool luxury Spring/Autumn weight duvets are made exclusively for The Wool Company. Encased in a very fine, high quality high thread count 100% cotton jacquard cover, edged with satin piping our duvets have a superior drape and handle. Filled with 100% Woolmark approved superwashed British European blended wool, unlike other wool duvets they are fully machine washable and tumble dryable so you can avoid using chemicals on your bedding.
Unlike many other "pure wool duvets" there are no synthetics and no polypropylene interlining in ours. They will maintain their shape, drape and and loft after many years' use. Due to the 300 thread count cotton casing they don't 'rustle' and are much quieter than other duvets. The cotton is so supple that it has amazing drape qualities - much better than any other wool duvets that we have seen.
The Spring/Autumn weight quilt 350 gsm quilt gives comfort to many of our customers the whole year round. Although its approx tog equivalent is 8-9 tog you can remain comfortable under it in much warmer conditions too. Provided with poppers in case you want to subseqently combine it with our Summer weight duvet.
Our wool fill has been through a technical combing system which creates a highly blended fibre matrix with greater loft properties than traditionally processed wool. Not only does the process produce a cleaner fibre, it increases its ability to trap air, providing enhanced insulation properties and the optimum sleeping environment.
The wool in this duvet has been tested to the Oeko-Tex 100 Standard certified to be free of any harmful chemicals.
This duvet is made using wool shorn from sheep that have not been mulesed (none of our wool duvets contain wool from sheep that have encountered mulesing)
