Alpaca yarn comes from the alpaca, a South American member of the camel family closely related to the llama. They graze high up in the Andean mountains of Peru, Chile, Ecuador, and Bolivia. Their fleece is extremely soft, silky, and unexpectedly hard-wearing.
These are very high-quality socks knitted here in the UK, from Peruvian alpaca fleece blended with nylon for strength and durability, available in 5 colours.
