Soft and luxurious sheepskin throws for chairs, benches, sofas, and beds, made from the finest fibres in an array of colours & sizes.

Add colour and texture to complement your interior or brighten up a patio or summer house with extremely soft and beautifully finished sheepskin throw blankets.

Both a sheepskin chair throw and a sheepskin throw rug are stunning accessories that will look fabulous in any home. Beyond that, 100% natural sheepskin throw blankets are easy to maintain and offer unmatched exclusivity—no two sheepskins are the same.

What is the difference between a sheepskin throw blanket and a sheepskin throw rug

Sheepskin throw blankets tend to be larger and untrimmed for the Boho or Scandi look, and they have naturally thinner skin which allows a better drape over a chair or sofa. Long fleece, if sat on regularly, will mat up. All our shorn sheepskins lend themselves to being a throw for a chair. They give you lots of support, instant comfort, and a real sense of luxury and will look great for far longer.

Large sheepskin sofa throws are very versatile. You can drape a sheepskin throw across the sofa, lay it on your favourite chair, use it as a sheepskin bench throw on your patio or balcony, and even create a glamorous place for your pets to sleep on.

If you want to transform the sheepskin into a sheepskin rug throw, place it on the floor in any room—it will work as a rug just as well. These sheepskins are utterly dreamy to sit, lie, or stand on and will instantly enhance your interior.

Merino sheep are bred for their exceptional fleeces, not for meat. They live free-range and graze over vast distances, virtually wild, in North America, Australia, and New Zealand. They produce very dense, soft, and fine wool, one of the most luxurious wools in the world, which is what we use for our large and small sheepskin throws. Some of the sheepskins in The Wool Company collection have a 'bunched' finish, and for some, it's smooth, but all are stunningly soft and supportive.

Our sheepskin origins vary from the hand-selected wool of Merino crossbreeds from North America to British domestic sheepskins. Each piece is hand-cut and hand-finished in the UK.

Natural sheepskins are the only product that can combine all the attributes for supportive, comfortable, and breathable seat upholstery.

If your job requires you to remain seated and comfortable for many hours at a time, you can never go wrong with a sheepskin chair throw. All our medical sheepskins can also be used in the same way.

To clean any small or large sheepskin throw, take it outside and give it a good shake and a gentle brush. Sheepskins can be spot cleaned and very carefully machine washed. Always allow drying naturally. Read full sheepskin care instructions here!

With a 100% natural product, you are not going to have to clean the sheepskin often. Here at The Wool Company headquarters, we've had a large sheepskin throw on our sofa for approximately 3 years. We've never needed to wash this sheepskin, as the wool naturally shirks dirt and smells, unlike cotton or any man-made fibre. It is used every day without fail, so it has been fully tried and tested, still looks great, and is so wonderfully soft and comforting.
