A beautiful Silk and Cashmere pashmina with a soft self fringe rather than tassels. These beautiful pieces are all hand-woven in the foothills of the Himalayas. The silk cashmere blend makes the shawl soft warm, luxurious and durable.

Silk is extremely hard-wearing and is one of nature’s strongest natural fibres, which gives these shawls durability. The silk is blended with the highly-prized 'downy' soft pashmina fleece which comes from the chest and underbelly of the Capra-Hircus goat which only thrives at very high altitudes on the Mongolian Plateau in Nepal and Tibet. The goats rely on this extremely fine, but very warm underlayer to keep them warm in sub-zero temperatures.

The prism-like structure of the silk fibre allows light to refract at different angles, giving the shawls a shimmering appearance, and it also makes the colours particularly vibrant. Silk's absorbency makes it comfortable to wear in warm weather but its low conductivity keeps warm air close to the skin during cold weather - so it’s great for summer and winter alike.

These shawls are a generous 90 x 200 cm for real wearability.
